Lori Newcomb, board-certified geriatric pharmacist and clinical consultant pharmacist at Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta, recently presented “Creating and Maintaining Quality in Medication Management” at the Georgia Senior Living Association’s Regional Lunch and Learn Meeting in Macon, Georgia.
In Georgia, and across the nation, assisted living and personal care regulations can be difficult for communities to interpret and apply. With the current staffing challenges facing operators, maintaining a quality medication management program can be challenging. Lori discussed key regulations pertaining to medication management, as well as provided tips on how to create and maintain effective and safe medication management in assisted living communities.
